Students who have newly enrolled in the Woodland Hills Online Academy will have two opportunities for mandatory orientation.

Congratulations to Dickson Preparatory STEAM Academy seventh grade reading and English teacher Mr. Jacob Krupitzer, who was recently recognized with the Teach Plus PA Teacher Leader Spotlight as part of Teach Plus PA's biweekly newsletter.

The Woodland Hills School District is accepting registration applications for the PA Pre-K Counts Program for the 2024-25 school year. There are limited spots still available. This is a full day program running Monday through Friday from 9:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. This program is free to residents who live within the boundaries of the Woodland Hills SD; whose children are three (3) or four (4) years old and fully potty trained by September 1, 2024, AND gross household income is within 300% of federal poverty level. High school football season is almost here! Season tickets for the 2024 Wolverines football season are on sale now. Woodland Hills will once again be using cashless ticketing this season.

The Woodland Hills School District is excited to announce the start of a new school year filled with exciting opportunities for students. Despite financial challenges, the district has made significant strides, including a reduction in property taxes and the establishment of a substantial fund balance.

Key highlights for the upcoming school year include major construction projects at Edgewood Elementary, new enrollment procedures, and important dates for staff and students.

The Woodland Hills School District is continuing to make strides with fiscal responsibility. A year after issuing the first tax reduction to residents in district history, Woodland Hills now ranks 17th in Allegheny County in millage rate. In 2021, the district had the fourth highest rate in the county.
Woodland Hills is one of only two districts among the 43 public school districts in the county to reduce its millage from 2021 to 2024.

As the summer comes to a close and the new school year approaches, we cordially invite staff, students, families, and the community to top by Woodland Hills High School on August 6 for our community open house.

Woodland Hills School District business manager Jill Regan provided an overview of the district’s 2022-23 annual financial report during the November 8, 2023 school board meeting. Ms. Regan highlighted several key areas in the district’s revenue and expenses, and revealed that the district’s financial management led to a $4.5 million increase to the district's record $14.1 million fund balance.
