Statement from the Woodland Hills School District

Please take a moment to read the following statement from Matthew Racunas, solicitor for the Woodland Hills School District.

The Woodland Hills School District understands that Board Member Darnika Reed has made several public statements accusing District leaders of improper conduct. The District categorically rejects these fabricated claims.

These allegations are not only unfounded but are also deliberately misleading. The District’s practices and policies are transparent, regularly audited, and have consistently met all state compliance standards. Moreover, all meetings held by the School Board are compliant with the statutory legal requirements.

The District finds it troubling that a Board Member who rarely attends executive session is making claims regarding meetings that she chooses not to attend. It is equally concerning that the same Board Member, who was recently the subject of a public censure for violating District Policies, continues to spread misinformation that attempts to undermine the hard work of our District administrators and School Board.
