Woodland Hills High School was thrilled to welcome author Jolene McIlwain as the latest guest for the Woodland Hills Interaction Series at the Woodland Hills High School Library. Ms. McIlwain is a Western Pennsylvania native whose work reflects the communities she grew up in and continues to live in as a writer.

On October 30, our kindergartners forged a special bond with the seniors. The Class of 2025 met with the Class of 2037 on the field at the Wolvarena to launch a new tradition.

The Woodland Hills High School Chamber Choir performed at the annual Pittsburgh Concert Chorale Festival of Choirs at the Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland on Sunday, the first time that the Chamber Choir has performed at the event.

To repair the damaged line, we will have to lose service to the building tomorrow 11/1/2024.  Since we will be unable to cook lunches, Friday will be a Virtual Learning Day for all of Edgewood Elementary Students.  Staff has the option to also work remotely.  

There is a slight possibility that we will not have hot water in the building Monday for parent-teacher conferences.  We will not know that for sure until later tomorrow. 

Edgewood Elementary students will bring their Chromebooks and materials home today to prepare for the virtual day tomorrow.  

A reminder that Tuesday is also a Virtual Day for All Students in All Buildings.

The Woodland Hills School District Board of Directors formally approved the censure of board member Darnika Reed during a special legislative meeting on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Student leaders from school districts throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania gathered at CCAC's North Side campus on Tuesday, Oct. 29 to begin preparations for the sixth annual Woodland Hills Student Summit in March. Learn more about the student leadership training and hear from multiple Woodland Hills students who have stepped up as leaders for this year's summit.

The November School Board Committee Meeting has been moved from Wednesday, Nov. 6 to Monday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 5 - which is Election Day - is now a Flexible Instruction Day/Learn From Home Day for all Woodland Hills School District students.
