Seven student-athletes sign scholarships to play college sports

The morning of February 5 was a celebratory one for Woodland Hills High School, as seven student-athletes officially signed their scholarship papers to pursue their sports at the collegiate level.

The celebration was part of a signing day ceremony held inside the high school library. Friends, family, teammates, and coaches joined the seven Wolverines as part of the festivities.

Congratulations to the following Wolverines:
  • Alexis Ayitey, track and field - Point Park University
  • Lenair Butler, football - Clarion University
  • Devaughn Earl-Hayden, baseball - Saint Vincent College
  • Jude Fossum, soccer - Earlham College
  • Charles Harper, football - California University (Pa.)
  • George Hill, football - University of Buffalo
  • Olivia Hutcherson, track and field - Point Park University
While each of the student-athletes will be pursuing different sports and have different sets of skills and personalities, they all share a common drive and passion for their sports. Their coaches highlighted their accomplishments - from holding team records to their leadership and character - and each of the student-athletes was able to realize their dream of securing a college opportunity.

Congratulations to these Wolverines and best of luck at the college level!
