The morning of February 5 was a celebratory one for Woodland Hills High School, as seven student-athletes officially signed their scholarship papers to pursue their sports at the collegiate level.
The celebration was part of a signing day ceremony held inside the high school library. Friends, family, teammates, and coaches joined the seven Wolverines as part of the festivities.
Congratulations to the following Wolverines:
- Alexis Ayitey, track and field - Point Park University
- Lenair Butler, football - Clarion University
- Devaughn Earl-Hayden, baseball - Saint Vincent College
- Jude Fossum, soccer - Earlham College
- Charles Harper, football - California University (Pa.)
- George Hill, football - University of Buffalo
- Olivia Hutcherson, track and field - Point Park University
While each of the student-athletes will be pursuing different sports and have different sets of skills and personalities, they all share a common drive and passion for their sports. Their coaches highlighted their accomplishments - from holding team records to their leadership and character - and each of the student-athletes was able to realize their dream of securing a college opportunity.
